ABSTRACT
With the widespread use of the internet and mobile devices, there is tremendous potential for technology to support English language learning. In this chapter, I first discuss the theoretical underpinnings of educational technology, collaborative writing, and the synergy of the two for teaching English as a Second (ESL) or Foreign Language (EFL). Then I discuss the implications for using technology to support English language instruction and conclude the chapter by sharing some insights for future scholarship.
