ABSTRACT
The number of people employed on the day of a count will depend on how many have joined the ranks of the unemployed since the time of the previous count and on how many have left unemployment either for jobs or because they abandon economic activity. That is, the behaviour of the stock of the employed will depend on the behaviour of inflows and outflows.
