ABSTRACT
Evolutionary economics has an essentially sound basis in psychology, but there are opportunities for development that would further develop the grounding of evolutionary economics in psychology. We discuss the psychological foundations of the broad sweep of traditions in evolutionary economics and show their consistency with cognitive and evolutionary psychology. We then outline some opportunities for development by the incorporation of, by way of example, personality, social, affective, and persuasion psychology.
