ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a brief introduction to Part II of the Routledge Handbook of Energy Democracy. This part of the handbook focuses on the importance of discourses for energy democracy research and practice by highlighting particular keywords—energy security, energy poverty, energy colonialism, and Energy Dominance—that come into discussions about energy transition. This introduction explains the importance of discourse to energy democracy and previews the chapters that appear in this part of the handbook.
