ABSTRACT
We expect English Language Arts (ELA) teachers to be many things when they enter the classroom: engaging, ethical, enthusiastic, effective, entertaining. We expect them to have a genuine affinity for adolescents and the learning process as well as literature and the writing process. We expect them to be thoughtful, caring, supportive people who are willing to focus on the academic and personal needs of their students.
