ABSTRACT
For those of us born in the United Kingdom, guns aren’t real. We see them on TV or in movies, read about them in books, but hardly ever see them. Old ones, maybe, in a museum. There are clubs for people who like shooting targets. Farmers can get a shotgun license if they need one to put down vermin. Not for self-defense. Handguns are illegal.
