ABSTRACT

This final chapter provides a comparative analysis of all the main ideas, implications and findings of the volume’s contributions. It demonstrates how analysing child migrations through the lens of biopolitics, using a long-term interdisciplinary approach, enables us to acquire new, relevant perspectives on vulnerability and the idea of the child’s best interest. Moreover, the chapter shows how bringing together the fields of childhood and migration allows scholars to better understand the old and new challenges of child migration in Europe and beyond.
