ABSTRACT
This chapter will take as a starting point the “Document of General Principles and Policies” promulgated by Hamas on May 1, 2017 in which the movement defines itself and defines its objectives. In the light of this reference text, which I will analyze in detail, I will review the theoretical framework and the practice of the movement during the preceding decades and draw up an inventory of its current situation concerning the Palestinian national scene.
