ABSTRACT

Environmental problems have been an issue of concern to countries worldwide, including Ghana. From the foregoing discussions, the subject matter of eco-entrepreneurship (environmental entrepreneurship) involves the innovation of products and processes that pose less threat to the environment. Sustainable consumption and production is one of the UN's approaches to eco-entrepreneurship. Swan and Morgan suggest eco-entrepreneurship be viewed as a business strategy conscious of regulating and promoting eco-values via small and low-impact ecotourism ventures. This chapter focuses would be on the mining sector, water processing and soft drink production, sustainable food management and the management of waste. From the discussion, it is imperative that eco-entrepreneurship is necessary for dealing with food waste in the country. Though Anderson and Starnawska's position-referenced entrepreneurship research, it is necessary to note that eco-entrepreneurship is just one of the areas of entrepreneurship and follows the same pattern..
