ABSTRACT
With the public space as its starting point, this chapter explores how an age-inclusive spatial practice might be developed. In doing so, it examines the role of spatial design in the facilitation of spontaneous intergenerational encounters. Through the introduction of a series of spatial concepts and considerations, the authors point to concrete potentials in the organisation and creation of space towards an age-inclusive physical environment.
