ABSTRACT

It has been nearly a decade since we published the first Handbook of Autoethnography (2013). 1 Life sure has changed in that time: We’ve seen the rise of a rampant individualism and nationalist politics; rapid shifts in climate and irreparable damage to the environment; ever-expanding food, educational, health, and economic disparities; and the widespread resurgence of white supremacy and police brutality, as well as the pushback protests of Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, #StopAsianHate, and cancel culture. Add to that the recent devastation and loss suffered under the COVID-19 pandemic.
