ABSTRACT

The author revisits a 2012 text about an intended ambivalent pregnancy using her subsequent writings and reflections about motherhood and reactions from students, colleagues, and others when sharing her ambivalence about pregnancy and parenting. The author intersperses reflections on pregnancy and motherhood ten years after the birth of her daughter with the 2012 text to demonstrate a spinning reflexivity that entails a continual adjustment and negotiation process based on history, identities, relationships, and positionalities.
