ABSTRACT

This chapter takes the reader on a journey of discovery into the largely unexplored territory of philosophical writing for children and teachers. Inspired by Matthew Lipman and John Dewey, Cam ventured beyond the world of academic research and began writing philosophical stories for children and pedagogical resources for teachers. Guided by a deep-set desire to maintain philosophical integrity in entering into the life-world of children and providing practical support for teachers, Cam provides us with a rare insight into what is involved in this combination of theory with practice.
