Marion Milner’s biographer considers her ambivalence as a public figure – the paradox that she was intensely private but with much to contribute. Emma Letley highlights Milner’s literariness, as a hallmark of the Independent group of the BPaS, and features her concepts of the frame and version of transitional space.
