ABSTRACT

The last in this section, David Smith and Cheryl Bleakley, convey in words and her own newly created images, their reactions to having read The Hands of the Living God with the Northern Ireland Institute of Human Relations’ Clinical and Theoretical Reading Group in Belfast. They liken Milner the analyst’s piecing together ‘a highly complex, multi-dimensional picture’ of her patient ‘Susan’, to Milner the artist’s care and creativity in putting together her collages.
