ABSTRACT

Chapters 38–40 are fond and distinctive recollections from three British psychoanalysts – Michael Brearley, Donald Campbell and Jennifer Johns. The first two were Milner’s neighbours as well as colleagues, and depict a spontaneously playful side of Marion on the street where she lived. Jennifer, whose analyst parents were contemporaries and friends of Marion Milner and Winnicott, leaves us with an image of a very vibrant, fashionista Marion who brought a light touch even to the issue of her immanent demise.
