ABSTRACT
This snapshot describes a wearable assistive technology project designed to increase visibility of the user of a mobility device, such as a disability scooter. The project involves the development of an illuminated glove constructed with conductive thread, a TinyLily controller, battery holder, and blinking LED lights to allow user visibility in all environments where a scooter may be used, thus following universal design (UD) guidelines. Implications for teaching and learning will be briefly discussed.
