ABSTRACT

This chapter offers a more theoretical analysis of the relationship between parents and kindergarten teachers in Poland. It focuses on the legal position and the actual position. The environment in which a child is situated is his or her developmental context and will influence its course, direction and dynamics. The aim of developmental education in the kindergarten and in the family is to support the child’s potential within his or her immediate zone of development, to support the individual achievements and interests of the child, and to ease the obstacles he or she encounters. Education is open to cooperation between families and kindergartens requires a language that enables and facilitates reaction to changing contexts and challenges. It is necessary to understand that the language of dialogue and cooperation is important than the language of technology. The significant element of partnership in cooperation is the option for educational parties to make decisions together about the course of actions of the kindergarten.
