ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we come close to the end of this book. This final chapter highlights some issues that we have already reflected on, but we decided to underline further. In this chapter we all write about our favorite themes. Maria Ester starts and ends the chapter telling how the group of us four met and how our differences became a resource for the process; she ends summarizing what we think psychotherapy is. Pietro talks about his idea of complexity; Britt, from her anthropological background, about the ontological perspective; and Umberta reflects on a case emphasizing the internal dialogue of the clinician. This chapter is not a repetition of what we have said previously but an attempt to talk about important issues in a different manner.
