ABSTRACT
This chapter assesses intra-BCIM trade gains. It argues that as China is the net exporter to all the constituent countries, only FTA in the BCIM region will negatively impact the economies of the countries. However, FTA and 10 percent reduction of transport cost would bring benefit to all members. Hence, BCIM-EC needs to focus on the improvement of cross-border physical connectivity.
