ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to identify the main thematic trends in the area of dialogic education in Ibero-American countries: Spain and Portugal, as well as the countries that speak Spanish or Portuguese in the Americas. Paulo Freire is one of the most influential thinkers in the historical development of dialogic perspectives in education in Ibero-America. The line of sociocultural studies in education emerges historically since the resurgence in the West of the work of L. S. Vygotsky and colleagues published since the 1970s. The chapter presents advantage of the most innovative technology, with tools such as Zotero, Parsif.al and Tableau, to systematize the search results from several international academic databases. The educational experiences investigated promote horizontality in the relationship of participants in a relatively spontaneous and organic environment, without protocols, thus characterizing dialogue with these traits. The chapter aims to recognize ideological positions that support the implementation of dialogic educational models, their usefulness and possible forms of resistance.
