ABSTRACT

This chapter takes the University of Waikato/Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato as a case study to discuss intercultural dialogue in the context of Aotearoa New Zealand. Through analysis of university-wide strategy and policies/plans followed by discussion of university-wide curriculum reform that included an explicit focus on cultural perspectives, the chapter discusses the challenges and possibilities of intercultural dialogue and its underlying assumptions in a specific bicultural, internationalized environment.
