ABSTRACT
How does one present Asperger’s Syndrome on stage when it’s approached by a thespian with Asperger’s? This was my challenge when it came down to assembling the participants for the workshop production of my play, Depth Perception, staged at Cleveland Public Theatre in the late winter of 2012. It was also the challenge I posed for myself as a playwright: to use theatrical language to speak to my realities and to be bold enough to act in the piece myself.
