ABSTRACT

This chapter endeavors to illuminate, critique, and provide strategies to resist the entrenched colonial logics inherent in our field-wide efforts toward “equity, diversity, and inclusion.” It builds on the important work of Dr. Leigh Patel, Dr. Dafina-Lazarus Stewart, Dr. Kim TallBear, Keryl McCord, adrienne maree brown, Paulo Freire, Augusto Boal, and on Dias’ work with Madeline Sayet, Corinna Schulenberg, and many more. It provides concrete techniques for how we might collectively shift our theater-making practice and ecology toward more just, regenerative futures for all beings.
