During the past two decades, a growing body of research has begun to explore the experiences of LGBTQIA+ collegians with disabilities. These studies provide an awareness surrounding the barriers, challenges, and needs of LGBTQIA+ persons with disabilities at the collegiate level. Despite the emergence of these studies, student affairs practitioners struggle to adopt culturally responsive services, practices, and policies that attend to the needs of LGBTQIA+ collegians with disabilities. This chapter aims to review and discuss the existing literature and research focusing on LGBTQIA+ collegians with disabilities, while also discussing how this body of work can inform current services, policies, and practices aimed at serving LGBTQIA+ collegians with disabilities.
