ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the evolution of the London Hub and the dreams, themes and new perspectives that have emerged. It explores the hopes and the context of the London Hub, the impact of Gordon Lawrence’s death and the purpose, meaning and future of the incumbent “London Dreaming”. The chapter explains the organic process of sustaining an open access social dreaming matrix by a core of determined social dreamers. The London Hub was well supported by a range of participants who had learned social dreaming methods either by association with Gordon, or through the training workshops or who had learned through the experience of participating. A distinction began to make itself felt between two different emphases: the matrix as an autonomous process which had been midwifed into the social dreaming form by Gordon Lawrence, and the social dreaming matrix as ward of the Gordon Lawrence Foundation.
