Defining and transgressing boundaries in development and environment contexts

This chapter explores the tensions between development and environment by tracing processes of creating or co-creating boundaries. Using examples from the chapters in this book, as well as from humanitarian mapping, the authors trace the imprint of boundary types and boundary objects both discursively and materially within a dialectical approach to scholarship that seeks both to understand and transform the way we address development and environment challenges.
