ABSTRACT

Does something exist beyond the notion of truth? And in case of an affirmative answer, what is this “something”? The thesis is that the notion of post-truth has been created for a certain dissatisfaction very similar to that which moved Immanuel Kant when he imagined the idea of noumenon beside the idea of reality. The chapter is organized in two parts: it examines the notion of post-truth and how it is usually used in the contemporary philosophy, and offers a genealogical analysis of the notion discussing the philosophical roots.
