ABSTRACT
Mr. Cao Lei is the Director of information technology (IT) Department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. The adoption of IT involves more than the physical layout of resources. More importantly, we need to develop proper mindset for IT adoption. The integration platform is intended to address the isolation of information. The philosophy of the ERP has reflected the ideas and processes of hospital management, integrated the existing resources and conducted comprehensive resource management of staff, property, assets, education, research, performance, and operation from the hospital-wide and department levels. The spin-off from efforts toward Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model validation include: we have got to learn about the latest trend in IT adoption around the world and expose ourselves to good experiences from international best practice of IT adoption in healthcare.
