ABSTRACT
Zhao Guoguang, MD, PhD, is the President of Xuanwu Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Chief Physician, Professor, and Supervisor of doctoral candidate in neurosurgery. As the clinical facility affiliated to the Capital Medical University, Xuanwu Hospital is one of the cradles for the academic and professional development of neurology in China. Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University has leveraged the strength of advanced international healthcare quality management standards through learning from the successful experience and approaches adopted in overseas hospitals to better improve the quality management and culture of safety in the hospital. During the preparation for Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model 7, Xuanwu Hospital started from the top-level design to realize the data exchanges and utilization among different business systems through rational planning and the establishment of the integrated platform.
