ABSTRACT

The project turned out to be a very effective means of getting to know about myself. One of the most powerful realities was the complete isolation in the project. General management can be a very lonely business and the project recreates the feeling. The neutrality of the set heightened the feeling of loneliness and isolation in the project and probably, by contrast, increased the realness of this pressure and learning. The basis of an action learning programme is that a real-life situation is used for learning. In an action learning programme the work of diagnosis is only the first step and it is necessary to move on to the more difficult activities of constructive proposals and implementation. The neutrality of the set heightened the feeling of loneliness and isolation in the project and probably, by contrast, increased the realness of this pressure and learning.
