ABSTRACT
Don Howell is finance manager, GEC Power Engineering Ltd. He obtained a degree in mechanical engineering at Imperial College, London, and then qualified as a chartered accountant with a City firm. He spent five years as a management consultant before joining GEC Turbine Generators Ltd in April 1973, where he worked on the manufacturing side until the action learning programme.
