ABSTRACT

Behavior analysts maintain high standards of ethics when representing the field on public statements. In this chapter, we will review the requirements for ethical practice in public statements according to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code, including responsibilities of maintaining ethical marketing practices. A discussion of each Code element includes an explanation, examinations of the considerations of complying with the Code element, and examples from the field. In this chapter, Mary Jane Weiss and Samantha Russo offer insights into ethical use of social media.
