ABSTRACT

Socioeconomic development is certainly the final goal of emergent countries and societies. Developed countries are now focused on reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while making the transition from fossil-based economy to a more sustainable model based on renewable energies. This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book helps the general readers to understand the transition context and the difficulties involved in choosing bioenergy as a primary source of energy. It presents a systematic way to map agricultural land for sugarcane. The book shows how bioenergy is model-dependent, how important it is to make right choices to conceive sustainable models. In the course of presenting a systematic way to produce modern sustainable sugarcane bioenergy, it demonstrates the advantages and positive aspects involved making a transition from underdeveloped to a more satisfactory society.
