ABSTRACT
In this chapter one of the authors reconnects with an immigrant family who struggles to find an appropriate educational setting for their son with disabilities. The conversation brings to light the unique challenges that families encounter when their child’s disability is difficult to diagnose and address. This family’s resilience and resourcefulness in adapting to changes in their life are woven throughout the discussion.
