ABSTRACT
This study highlights the benefit of having a clear and orderly classroom structure. A fascinating area of research has looked into how to achieve this. Evidence suggests that schools that have a low turnover of teachers have a better disciplinary climate in their classrooms. Research suggests that teacher turnover can be reduced by developing mentoring programmes for staff within the school, encouraging collaboration between staff and helping new staff feel a sense of belonging towards the school.
