Integration of Immigrants from the Former Soviet Union in the Israeli Housing and Job Markets: Regional Perspectives

The geography of the worldwide movement o f migrants in the 1990s reflects the globalization of the economy (King 1993; Gould and Findlay 1994; Nijkamp and Spiess 1993, 1994). Host countries seek skilled workers who are suited to the changes in the structure of their economy and their relative advantage in the world market, and they have less demand for unskilled workers.
