ABSTRACT
It has been a basic requirement for many years that business users should be able to share and use the data contained within computer systems in any context or for any purpose of relevance throughout an organisation. The days of “stand alone” computer systems has passed, but many problems in Data Management still remain. The amount of time and money that is wasted by an organisation recapturing data already stored elsewhere within the organisation has compounded the problems associated with data value mistrust by businesses.
