ABSTRACT
This chapter provides examples of how planners and policy makers can learn from the past, and discusses implications of the timing of public policy decisions. This approach provides a glimpse into the demographics and trends driving the new mobility sector. The chapter concludes with policy suggestions and concepts that cities and residents may need to think about as disruptive transport continues to evolve.
