ABSTRACT
This chapter looks into laws relating to statelessness. It explores certain key concepts and their legal implications in India, for instance, who is an ‘illegal migrant’ in India, and how is citizenship defined in the context of India? It also delves into issues like, what is meant by right to nationality in international law, factors that give rise to a precarious condition of statelessness, the legal aspects of these concepts and so forth.
