ABSTRACT
Two-year college writing studies professionals are the teaching majority in composition and rhetoric and engage with the most diverse set of students when considering race, ethnicity, and class. For the political turn in writing studies to be meaningful, two-year colleges must be an integral part. The author details the teacher-scholar-activist movement emerging from two-year college writing studies, noting in particular how the political turn can be informed by this work through equity-centered partnerships.
