ABSTRACT

The Guadalajara Psychoanalytic Group consisted of eight didactic analysts at Grupo Guadalajara, seven of whom were trained at the Asociacion Psicoanalitica Mexicana; the eighth analyst was trained at the Instituto de la Asociacion Pscioanalitica Argentina. To popularize and develop the group's psychoanalytic research, members were encouraged to participate in congresses and to develop collective and individual monographic projects, in which the personal and academic accomplishments of the group were demonstrated. In August of 2007, the second class graduated, and the students currently enrolled are studying the propedeutic course. In 2007 the SEP issued the REVOE 2007 367, recognizing and giving official approval to the group's programme of study. On 19 April 2007, Drs Carlos Valedon and Alejandro Tamez visited our programme to carry out interviews and supervision of clinical cases, to formalize the structure of the GPG, consisting of teaching analysts, titular analysts, adjunct analysts, and analysts in training.
