ABSTRACT

Socio-cultural changes and technological innovations that settle into and circulate within society affect both reality and people's subjectivity. Technology makes possible and conceivable what beforehand was not even imaginable. It is for this reason that technological changes are implanted more easily in people who are born contemporaneously with the arrival of those changes, given that they do not have to make any effort to adapt. The technological resources applied to communication have gradually changed our conception of everyday life. The tools of distance communication must be conceived not only as facilitators of new applications of psychoanalysis but also as promoters of entirely new forms of science. The decision to theorize about distance psychoanalysis arises from the increase in supply of online therapies in years, the advance of the internet in everyday life and the need of some psychoanalysts to show the creative spirit of testing, finding out results, and presenting them.
