ABSTRACT

Man does not have the right to develop his own mind. This kind of liberal orientation has great appeal. For some, the abuse is embedded in a modern mind-control program, carried out within a political belief system, with technology taking the place of biblical imagery. Scientists, psychiatrists, and mind-control experimenters were offered new identities and brought to America with cooperation between the US State Department, army intelligence, and the structures that became the Central Intelligence Agency. Mind-control processes and programs are extensions, of course, of ordinary social and familial conditioning of children. The term "mind control" is a more explicit extension of that process in which something is deliberately instilled in a victim with the aim of creating an obedient slave. Obedience is the basis of most socializations—the family, school, religion, and work—and, of course, is even more crucial within the armed services.
