ABSTRACT

This chapter presents some ideas about the way to facilitate handling the issue of chaos, to use it, to work with it: this way is transformation. It discusses the concept of "the English chaos". Chaos is a word derived from Greek mythology. It describes the global confusion of elements of matter before the formation of the world. Myths were created to impart a meaning to our life and roots. In the core of the zig-zag, the stake might be in the manager's capacity to transform this anxiety into creativity. The consultant's role, whether it is carried out by a manager, another member of the institution, or a professional consultant, is also to attempt to reduce the chaos (the volume of the black box, and the existence of the glass box), although it is not possible to eradicate it totally. Keeping the idea of chaos in mind helps us to accept it, to reveal it, and even to create it.
