ABSTRACT
In this case I am not taking notes although I realise that my patient will one day wish that I had done so. I did make an attempt to keep notes in the early stages but I found that this interfered with my analysis of her by keeping the details over-emphasised in the conscious mind. In this way the unconscious or less conscious reaction became distorted.
