ABSTRACT

This chapter presents an example of a psychoanalytic therapeutic consultation session with a six-year old child communicating a complex and dynamic personality pattern who was referred on account of his being unable to make use of his good intelligence. It shows how to conduct a therapeutic interview with such a child possessed by madness. The chapter presents the details of the session and shows how the author witnessed the child's states of being possessed by a mother's madness when his own mother goes mad in front of him.
