ABSTRACT
During the session just described, the therapy team, with James's son observing, openly expressed how skilfully James had proceeded to connect therapeutically with the family, and they repeatedly commented among themselves about James's natural therapeutic abilities. As he continued working with the family, one observer commented, "If someone were watching a tape of this without knowing any background, they would think he was a superb therapist".
