ABSTRACT

Since time immemorial, humankind has practised sex with animals (SWA). Sexual contact between distinct animal species has been interpreted as a secondary psychiatric disorder by some, and as an additional way to obtain sexual pleasure by others. According to Miletski, Many authors suggest that human beings have had sexual relations with animals since the dawn of history and throughout the world. During infancy and adolescence, it is possible that some sexual contact with animals occurs. Since the 1970s, zoophilia has been decriminalised in many places, although authors found some links between bestiality and sexual offences and sexual crimes. The most frequent modality of SWA is characterised by men penetrating animals; however, there are also passive activities, when the animal penetrates the human male or female. Usually, SWA is practised with live animals; however, Randall, Vance, and McCalmont described the use of animal tissue (deer tongue) for masturbation.
