ABSTRACT

The programme was repeated the following year arid again in 1991, sponsored on this occasion by IMAGO East-West, a recently founded Institute for Intercultural Psychodynamic Research, based in London. Gordon Lawrence participated in all three of the social dreaming programmes, from which the "contributions to dialogues" presented here are taken. "Dialogues" was the name given to the second of three main events that made up each programme. The first and core event was called the "Social Dreaming Matrix". The third event, at first referred to as "Mutual Consultation Sets" and subsequently "Systemic Consultation Sets", provided a setting in which participants presented experiences from their current work in or with organizations. The aim was described as "To help participants make creative use of their dream experiences to discover their unconscious political and spiritual awareness of their social world".
